🚨 If $BTC is part of your portfolio, read this before it’s too late
You bought Bitcoin because you don’t trust banks.
Now there’s a proposal where developers might have to step in to protect the network.
Here’s what’s actually going on 👇
Bitcoin’s security today relies on very strong encryption.
Right now, it’s practically unbreakable.
But future quantum computers could change that.
Some older Bitcoin addresses (6.9M BTC) have exposed public keys.
That’s 32% of total supply.
If quantum tech advances far enough, those coins could be at risk.
So developers proposed BIP-361:
• Users get time to move funds to safer addresses
• If not moved, those coins could be restricted
This creates an important debate:
Protect the network long-term
vs
Preserve Bitcoin’s “untouchable ownership” principle
For now:
• Nothing is changing today
• No activation timeline yet
What you can do:
• Exchanges will likely handle it
• Self-custody → use modern “bc1” addresses
• Older wallets → consider upgrading over time
No urgency, but awareness matters.
This is one of the most important long-term discussions in Bitcoin. 👀

I bought Bitcoin at $4. Or so I thought. Peter Viscenne had offered to mine it for me. He bought some fast mining chips from Butterfly Labs, but rather than delivering them to him, they used them to mine their own bitcoin. Then when Peter finally got the chips, Bitcoin was over $30. So he mined what he could. Then we lost all our Bitcoin to Mt. Gox when they “lost” the money. Since Bitcoin didn’t drop much on the Mt.Gox news, I did some research. It turned out that Bitcoin was being used for remitting money, paying unbanked employees, and creating economies where there weren’t any. So when I heard about the US Marshall’s auction, I bid over market at $632 and bought all nine lots offered. Got on Fox Business in 2014 and said Bitcoin would hit $10,000 in three years. The host looked at me like "Why did we have this guy on the show?" Three years to the day, Bitcoin hit $10,000. After that, my predictions have not been so prescient, but I have reason to believe that Bitcoin will reach $250k in 18 months… and eventually I expect the number to be higher as Bitcoin rises and the dollar falls to inflationary pressures.

But here’s the part people are ignoring:
“Opt in… or stay locked indefinitely.”
That’s not just tokenomics.
That’s leverage.
You’re not really choosing, you’re being pushed into the system they want.
This raises a bigger question:
Do WLFI holders actually have a voice? Or is this governance in name only?

A 20-year-old flew across the country with a Molotov cocktail and a kill list of AI CEOs.
He checked into a San Francisco hotel 4 days before the attack. Then he waited.
• 3:37am: he firebombed Sam Altman's front gate
• 5:00am: he was at OpenAI HQ smashing doors with a chair, threatening to kill everyone inside
