I tried expressing the character design of the Diaor aliens from the game "Apocalypse" I'm currently working on as a dot art GIF. The home planet of the Diaor aliens, Diaor, is a harsh planet with various biomes, requiring its inhabitants to adapt flexibly to their environment. Moreover, Diaor has an excessively high level of natural radiation compared to Earth. This radiation acts as a catalyst for evolutionary mutations in the genetics of its life forms. Due to these two factors, the genetics of the Diaor aliens are prone to mutations, or in other words, unstable. Consequently, there's a significant variation in their appearance among individuals. Although the three Diaor aliens in the GIF image below look different, they are actually of the same species.
