@AliR_Ahmadi The F-15 is faster, has better range, and can carry a heavier payload. My layman's guess is that planners underestimated the strength of Iranian air defenses, and were assuming they could just fly in and bomb shit unopposed like they were used to, so stealth wouldn't matter.

This back scabbard design might've actually become popular for some medieval infantry types if it had been invented then. One could wield a spear and shield while still having a drawable longsword on their back. Imagine the possibilities!
