Bunny Coulbert Dodwell 2016 - 2024 Our gorgeous girl died last week just days after her 9th birthday. Our office dog for 4 years, she was hugely spoilt by our lovely clients. As a family, we are devastated but how lucky we were to love and be loved by her for nearly a decade.

Today is our 11th birthday! Over a decade of forging our own path and daring to be individual.

I am genuinely sad to read this today. It was a pleasure to work with Frank to improve funeral pricing transparency throughout the UK. What impressed me most, was his genuine drive to do right and give a voice to the voiceless. What a huge loss for us all.

It was 10 years ago today that I got the keys to my office and what an unbelievable decade it has been. I’ll forever be grateful to my clients who knew they would be safe in my hands and to my amazing family and friends for being my cheerleaders. Here’s to another 10!

We had to explain that we couldn’t keep their person ‘until the pandemic was over’ because we didn’t know when it would end. The trauma that our clients and staff went through was unfathomable and all while the PM partied. Truly lost for words. #COVID19

We had to explain to clients that we could only make funeral arrangements by phone or email. We had to explain we couldn’t dress their person & that they couldn’t come to our office to see them. We then had to explain the maximum amount of people allowed to attend the service.

‘Leaving drinks were essential for work purposes,’ says Boris Johnson during the worst of the pandemic and breaking every rule the majority lived by. That was to stay at home, social distancing, wear a mask. When the pandemic broke, I made a Will on my 38th birthday.

So, here’s to us. The pioneers, the women changing the face of professions and to the amazing women we surround ourselves with to be able to do it. #InternationalWomenDay2023 4/4

It’s International Women’s Day and it is always a day we sit and take a moment to reflect. It was 70 years ago, Lucy’s Grandmother wasn’t allowed to go the funeral of her own mother. Now, seven decades later, her granddaughter owns a funeral company. 1/4
