Alberta's strength isn't just in our resources, it's in our people, our innovation, and our vision for a self-reliant future. We've built an economy that powers not just us, but the entire country, pouring in $20-25 billion net annually through federal taxes and transfers, far outpacing what comes back. That's billions we've earned through world-class energy development, attracting skilled workers from every corner of Canada to our rigs and fields, where collaboration creates prosperity for all involved.
Yet, federal meddling has held us back: projects like Northern Gateway and Energy East were scrapped due to endless regulations and opposition, costing us market access and jobs. Even TMX, with its $34 billion price tag ballooning under federal ownership, was a taxpayer-funded bailout, much of it from our own contributions, while delays and overruns hurt everyone. Independence means controlling our pipelines, our exports, and our destiny, without begging for approvals or subsidizing the rest of the country.
And let's not forget our agricultural might: Alberta leads Canada with $22 billion in farm revenues, dominating in beef, canola, wheat, and more, employing over 80,000 and exporting $17.7 billion globally. We feed the nation and the world, with room to grow and diversify without carbon taxes or red tape stifling innovation.
As for our land and heritage: Alberta's sovereignty would honor treaties and partnerships with First Nations, building on shared histories where resources like bitumen have been vital for generations. True freedom means negotiating as equals, not under Ottawa's thumb.
The naysayers ignore the facts: We've given $285 billion net since 2007, yet get blocked at every turn. Time to keep our wealth, invest in our people, and thrive independently. Petitions are surging, join the momentum. #StayFreeAlberta #AlbertaIndependence
