There’s often confusion between a beat maker and a producer. A beat maker creates a beat and sends it to an artist—then their job is done. A producer is involved in the entire song, from start to finish. In my case, I start by making the beat, then I find the right artist, work with them to record the song, arrange it, and sometimes mix it. I may also help find features for the track. Just because I make the beat doesn’t take away from the fact that I produce the song from beginning to completion. I have produced songs that I didn’t make the beat to but a lot of people won’t understand that part 😂
