Awakened by the village cockerels competing with each other this AM, so got up to sit on the balcony & watch the sun rise over the Calabrian hills. Ducks, geese & hillsides & olive groves of songbirds joined the chorus. A relaxing rural racket that was rather calming. Bellisimo!

Days 3-5 😎 The Grand Tour - a Field trip.

Detour. Out, went Prague and Vienna, in went a dash South over the Alps En-route: an interestingly titled lorry 😳 the castle that Disney modelled his castle on a beautiful alpine pass stop (which Lara loved), Drove >2km >sea level and ended up here Gaston Innerwalten, Passesria

Today’s journey. Heavy traffic on the Autobahn for a while but, being the autobahn, we were able to zip along rather more quickly when the traffic was clear 😎💨🏁 Tonight’s stop? Wurzburg, Bavaria, Germany.

1AM ‘alarm’ call…. M25 closed so detour through london city centre 🤬🫠… 4 countries… 1, 1 hour business presentation from a motorway service station 😳… Circa 400 miles driven… 4pm arrival 🫠 ……Aaaaaaaaand collapse! 😆 Today we head into Amsterdam sightseeing😎.

First stop….? Amsterdam! Staying on the edge of a lake about 10 miles out of the city. Park and ride in tomorrow morning.

Looking forward to attending the forthcoming United States Embassy reception focused on the US and UK airport sector. It is a welcome opportunity to listen, learn and contribute to discussions about future airport development and how both countries can collaborate more effectively. We will use this very welcome opportunity to continue highlighting the importance of accessibility and familiarisation for passengers who face barriers when navigating unfamiliar environments; as well as emphasising that improving accessibility is not only the right thing to do, but also delivers measurable commercial benefit when more passengers are able to travel with confidence. Aviation has a real opportunity to lead on this, and it is encouraging to see the issue being taken seriously within international industry forums of this kind.
