All things considered from last opening day we have 2 Top 50 Prospects debuting, a top 3 closer, another elite reliever and Garcia, who is basically the X factor for this year.

I don’t think I’ve been this excited for Opening Day since 2023. There’s a lot of new things to look forward to. While they didn’t swing big this winter, I really am excited to see Painter, Crawford, Bowlan, and Keller. There’s a lot of potential with this new group

I really like Lohrei and when he’s on he’s solid but he can look awful at times. Reminds me of myself. Just a brutal penalty to take after that goal and now bruins down 3-2

Spot on. And regarding Middleton, he’s a fantastic owner. The payroll is high and treats players well. Our GM just couldn’t construct a capable lineup with a Top 5 payroll.

Phillies predictions (optimistic):
- Crawford helps immediately, bats .280ish with a average OPS and steals 40 bags
- Stott’s 2nd half carries over and is a legit top 10 2B
- Garcias power comes back, becomes a legit 4 hole hitter
- they finally make a big trade for a bat

I also agree this is the best Phillies team in the Bryce era. But they need him to play like an MVP and the vibes are off. If one of Bohm/Stott take a leap and Garcia can play like he did in 23 (huge ifs), the offense could play in October
