The Rape tradition isn't just in Ozoro alone it's very prominent in all of Delta Central and Isoko North. As a child, I hated going to my village because of the horrors of children screaming behind my grandfather’s window while they were being raped by grown up men in the name of Ekene festival. This is the reality of an average Urhobo/Isoko girl child.

If you ever wonder why men are against having male friends as their GF? It’s because they know what their gender is capable of. It’s something they have done before too or thought of. Either by manipulation, coercion, force or other ways, they’ve at a point in their lives touched their female friends. They know each one of them have that animal behavior tendency. It’s why you having a male friend is a red flag to them. Sit where a brother is advising his sister, and see them admit how animalistic they are. If you allow men gaslight you, you will see shege in your life.

I remember drawing this piece back in 2024 because of how much I felt for rape victims, we need to train the boy child better.. Rape should not be allowed in our society.

They rape babies They rape fully covered women They rape drunk girls They rape girls who just went to read They rape women randomly on the streets They rape women in their homes They rape women in hijabs They rape christian sisters They rape teenagers They rape old women, old enough to be grandma’s They rape female friends They rape wives or girlfriends They rape female dead bodies in the morgue They rape wome who wear skimpy clothes They rape even in church They rape sisters, cousins, nieces, daughters Bosses rape their workers They rape because you said “no” or refuse their advances They rape because you refuse to give your contact They rape because they called you and you refused to reply As long as you’re a woman, black or white, old or young, outside or inside, have it at tha back of your mind that you can be a victim of rape. So thinking women who speak against rape are “bitter angry feminists who generalize” isn’t a smart thing to do sis. Making excuses for rape as a woman? You should be ashamed of yourself.

People really underestimate the level of herd mentality that exists among men, especially when it comes to doing or allowing harm. Because even the ones not actively participating… what are they doing? Standing there recording, watching and stopping nothing. And somehow, they’ll still go home and think they’re “good men” because they didn’t directly do anything.

We don’t speak enough about generational patterns. You don’t even know when you’re neck deep in a pattern until it’s too late. I had to fight it . fight giving up my career for marriage, fight early pregnancy, fight choosing a man over my self . Same age , same pattern…..but I broke it .

Tope olowoni ; How was motherhood for you ? Bisola ; i was scared and ashamed of being pregnant and had a baby out of wedlock and I thought I was going to get to get married cause I was engaged at that time. Knowing my mum was a single mum and I am about to become one, I feared my child will also have the same faith.

Until the day I witness men beat a rapist to de@th in my eyes like this, that’s when I’ll believe it isn’t all men. All this noise online, e no dey move me at all. Many of you are guilty of protecting your rapist friends. The only time you tear body is if your sisters are the victim.

Let break down this “not all men” stuff for you people Out of 10 men in a room, one cracks a sexual joke. Two of them actually find it funny. Three of them don’t find it funny but chuckle just to fit in. Four of them don’t find it funny but don’t say anything. None of them says, “stop, that’s actually disturbing”. Later, 9 men go back home believing they’re part of the good majority, unlike the man who cracked the sexual joke. But from a woman’s perspective, there isn’t much difference between the people who laughed, the people who laughed just to fit in and the people who said nothing. All three do the same thing. They keep the room safe for the men who cross the line. And that’s the part “not all men” doesn’t address. Women aren’t always saying that all men harass, but what we are saying is that a lot of good, polite men end up protecting the system where harassment feels low risk. I understand why men resist this framing, but doing nothing is not the same as doing no harm, when the environment itself is what enables thr harm. The least you guys can do for women is to SPEAK UP. It’s the same thing going on with this raping festival, some men wouldn’t participate but they wouldn’t stop the men that are participating. But since they’re not part of the majority, they think they’re the “good” ones, when all they’re doing is protecting the system that keeps failing women.

“Not all men” Because you didn’t actively participate in the act But you didn’t stop it, you dont speak on or against it, you don’t believe people when they speak on it, you poke holes in stories of victims Okay
