I know that I can say with 100% certainty that Canada is a proud nation that has no interest in becoming part of the US. I am saddened by our neighbours to the south electing someone who believes it is great to be a selfish bully. The world is not a better place as a result.

I have been quiet for too long. I have sat back and observed the events that have been occurring, and I have been amazed at how the world is changing. It's not for the better. It's time for good people to speak out against tyranny.

Check out my latest article for @FlamesNation Recently, I've seen some NHL analysts talk about how the Flames would be crazy to trade Jacob Markstrom. So I thought I would dive into the reasons why trading him now is actually the right thing to do. flamesnation.ca/news/now-is-th…

@FlamesNation It must have been really tough on Craig, given his personality. A good choice by the organization.

@TheHockeyNews Looks a lot like Todd Bertuzzi on Steve Moore years ago. Definitely intent to injure a defenseless player. Should have the book thrown at him.

@KenShuler I feel like goalies have these off years every now and then. I bet we see Markstrom back to being a starting caliber goalie next season. As for Sutter, I have no idea what’s going to happen there.

Random Flames Goal Of The Day April 2nd, 2016. Johnny Gaudreau and Joe Colbourne with a nice give and go goal. This was Calgary's last game at Rexall Place. They ended up beating the Oilers 5-0.

@RingOfFireCGY What did they expect? When a GM cannot make decisions but shoulders the blame, they usually want to get out. No surprise when Treliving left.

The main thing that stood out to me is how rattled both Don Maloney and John Bean were to lose Brad Treliving. Don was overcome with emotion talking about it. Both Bean and Maloney looked nervous and uncomfortable. That press conference did not inspire a lot of confidence IMO.

I wish nothing but the best for Brad Treliving moving forward. You can tell that he is a great person and tremendous leader. He has been a great ambassador for the city of Calgary and the Flames. It’s going to be fascinating to see who his replacement is going to be.

Check out our latest FlamesNation Roundtable article. Our team makes some predictions about this off-season in Calgary and we make some playoff predictions. (The Treliving predictions were made this weekend prior to today's news) flamesnation.ca/news/flamesnat…

@RingOfFireCGY I think Treliving was hedging his bets by not signing an extension before the season. If things go well, he signs. If not, he saves face by "mutually agreeing " to part ways. I do think more players will follow if Sutter stays.

An interesting note about today. Flames players and staff absolutely loved Brad Treliving. They loved working for him. By all accounts, it sounds like that's not necessarily the case with Darryl Sutter. The Flames chose Sutter. Will there be a fall out from this decision?
