LaTech Track Exposed

Congrats to everyone that’s leaving Louisiana Tech Track and Field Plantation. I’m proud of y’all for putting yourself first and leaving an abusive system that doesn’t care about their athletes and everyone in the athletics department continues to cover for the new coaches 🖤.

This is how you like your coaches talking to your athletes @lkguice @EWOOD_AD ?? Called a minority athlete a “ angry little hobbit “ but he still has a job ? What if he called your child a random derogative slur?

You would think that since ALL the people leaving are on the SPRINTS side....the SPRINTS Coach would be the problem. NOPE....LaTech said fire the Jumps Coach?

@lkguice is this how you want athletics ran ? All this has been going on and the track and field athletes have been meeting with various people in athletics trying to do it the right way and we keep getting brushed off. We started the complaint in 2019…

Coach Bartolina was fired out of Stanley feeling threatened. When will @EWOOD_AD , @LATech ,& @LATechSports take action to protect their athletes? The cycle must stop.

@LatechTrack @EWOOD_AD @LATech @LATechSports Dang this man Stanley has fired every coach that has spoken out against the abuse and mistreatment of the student athletes over the course of 7 years plus. How do you not see this? How does a head coach control his superiors @EWOOD_AD

Should we talk more about how Champlin was trying to invite athletes over to receive massages ? Why is he inviting athletes over for massages to his personal house when we have athletic trainers ?

@EWOOD_AD we didn’t even mention how @coach__champ__ bullied a boy into quitting the team telling him that he was too stupid to be at LA Tech and will never graduate. You want coaches like this at your school ? Imagine if that was your child ? How would you feel ?

@EWOOD_AD it’s crazy that the document came out and all of the thing on it are true but Coach Bartolina was the one fired for speaking up to the head coach for the athletes ? Any coach that speaks up about any concerns they have for the program get fired on spot by Stanley.

It’s disgusting that Gary Stanley is still the head coach at Louisiana Tech and is protecting the abuse that @coach__champ__ . Coach Bartolina was recently fired from Louisiana Tech track and field program for SPEAKING trying to protect the athletes by Gary Stanley.

If Louisiana Tech thinks firing any other coach rather than the SINGLE COACH (Steven Champlin) that caused this then......throw the whole program away

There are at least 7 SPRINTERS/HURDLERS transferring after this season. (I want to emphasize their events because they all had the same abusive coach)

The lengths this program will go to deny what's going on is ASTOUNDING!!
