I want to go public that I will vote to protect same-sex marriage. If there is a bill of such legislation, I will support the bill as I have for years. I support the right for Americans to marry the person they love, so the government does not decide. Freedom. #AlaskaAlways
I would like to see more representation from the Democratic Party in the Budget. It is essential that we hear their thoughts and ideas. While I greatly appreciate @lizwarren100@sim15sensanders and their active participation, I urge other dems to participate in civil discourse.
I want to thank @BenCardinMD for listening and hearing to the Republican Party as we amended the rules this afternoon in the budget committee. We are achieving bipartisanship. Very proud to be apart of this committee. Great things to come! #AlaskaAlways
Kelly claims the historic, bipartisan infrastructure bill doesn’t benefit Alaska. Someone hasn’t done her homework. Look no further than:
- $112M for AK ports
- $300M for the AK Marine Highway System
- $124M for broadband
- Over $2.8B for Alaska’s core infrastructure announced
@potusbiden_46@realbobmenendez@AngusKingLMU That’s great Mr. President. But when are you going to stop draining our Strategic Petroleum Reserve and instead allow our oil companies to drill more oil?
From strengthening rural infrastructure & securing support for communities following Typhoon Merbok–I’m dedicated to delivering for rural Alaska.
I want to thank Mayor John Handeland of Nome for his support. I’ll keep working w/ Alaskans to secure a bright future for our state.
#OTD 155 years ago, the formal transfer of Alaska to the US was finalized following the purchase of $7.2 million.
155 years later, we're the largest state with the greatest communities, richest cultures, & most resilient people. I'm grateful to call this place home. #AlaskaDay
Preserving Indigenous cultures and languages is critical to Alaska’s future. As vice chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, I am working to pass legislation prioritizing language preservation through education.
I am glad that @LisaMurkowskiA is a co-sponsor of the LOBSTER Act, and hope that we can continue the bipartisan support we have found for the bill thus far.

I personally voted for @AngusKingLMU for President Pro Tempore. I thought there would be a very good chance for bipartisanship. After reviewing the bills for consideration in the Senate Committees, the Republicans are confused by the “fair consideration” remarks made.
The United States needs leaders who are willing to listen. They don’t have to agree, but people need to have civil discourse in differing opinions. It is alarming to see the lack of willingness to listen from the Democrats.
I have had multiple democratic senators reach out to me in a very positive way which is a huge step forward. However, it is clear that not all Democrats support Republicans. I just viewed bills for consideration and I can count on my hands how many Republican bills there are.
It's hard to express how expensive life is in rural Alaska, particularly in light of rising inflation, so I always stop by the stores to check out prices, to help bring the reality of the situation to life.
In Chevak:
- 1 box of Tide: $44
- 1 pack of 24 bottles of water: $91
Alaskan residents impacted by last month’s severe storm in the western part of the state: FEMA set up a disaster assistance hotline specifically for you.
Apply for FEMA disaster assistance by calling 1-866-342-1699 and dial 711 for TTY users.
I stand for bipartisanship. A simple request voicing the actions of a committee. They apologized in response for being late. That’s all that needed to happen. The Republican Party stands for bipartisanship, Americans, and freedom. We will always fight for those #AlaskaAlways
The Washington Watch continues to showcase my “tantrum.” I guess the media struggles to take criticism when they lack bipartisanship. This is after mislabeling myself in their published article. I am willing to work with them, but they have to work with me. I stand for Alaskans.
President Biden just recognized the states that were affected by Hurricane Ian as he should. Biden failed to recognize the storms and harsh winter Alaskans are currently facing. Alaskans need help. I will always help Alaskans.
I wanted to represent the Republican Party as our voices were denied at the meeting. The Washington Watch cannot say they are bipartisan and continue to target certain people and show extremism. That’s not bipartisan, that’s not the United States.
Jonah Goldberg’s attack on bipartisanship is alarming. Jonah Goldberg displays the radicalism of media that cannot be tolerated. I simply asked to publish an article after multiple articles were published. It is important to know that I was discussing the meeting of Monday
