SWEDEN JUST DREW THE LINE Sweden is doing it. Finally. Parliament has just passed a law that lets the state revoke residence permits for bad behavior. And here is the part that matters - the behavior does not have to be criminal. Undeclared work. Unpaid debts. Tax evasion. Benefit fraud. Links to extremist organizations. That is enough. The law does not only cover new applications. It covers permits already granted. Retroactively. The principle is simple, and it should never have been controversial: a residence permit is a privilege, not a right. Anyone who lives off a society’s hospitality while working against that society’s laws and values has NO automatic claim to stay. Sweden has paid a high price to learn this. Now they are acting. The rest of Europe and the West should take note. Let’s go!🪽❤️‍🔥✝️

@DVanLangenhove I traveled there with my buddy once. We just came from Amsterdam that was 2 weeks deep on a garbage strike, and Brussels default was dirtier than one of the most popular tourist spots in europe with no trash collection for 2 weeks 💩

As a local, you get desensitised to the scene over time. But we should never accept that this is what Belgium’s largest international train station looks like. Not to mention the stench of piss, the robbers and the junkies surrounding it.

@japan_nobunaga I think it's because a lot of people flee California to Texas and then try to make Texas like California. Same for New York with Florida. I don't know why Ohio has beef with everyone else, but I'd guess it's because the other states don't care about Ohio that much.

American tourist here, traveling in Germany. I just had an out of body experience. Their bakeries - AMAZING.

@Liberalinski @BachmannRudi @gloefflmann Most German cakes and pastries are actually Austrian or Bohemian. French and British pastries absolutely mog Germans cultural originals. Any european bakery would do well in the US, but the US already has plenty.

@SonOfAristotle @BachmannRudi This is not remotely true. Dairy as not as abundant nor as cheap as in the US, so 🇩🇪 more commonly use dark rather than milk chocolate for baking to keep costs down. Go to a high end patisserie shop or a stroll down the candy aisle and 🇩🇪 chocolate is as sweet if not sweeter.

@BachmannRudi t’s 85% corporate factory trash. They make it very hard for new businesses to succeed. There is a monopoly on baking in Germany. If you aren’t grandfathered in and you aren’t corporate you aren’t going to own a bakery. Try France, Czechia, or Austria to experience the next level.
