This month, we wrapped up the 2024 Mayor Marion S. Barry Summer Youth Employment Program and awarded nearly $700,000 in scholarships. For 45 years, MBSYEP has ensured that District youth have exciting and meaningful job opportunities. Thank you to all the participants and host employers for another successful summer!

🎉 Celebrating 45 years of #MBSYEP! This year, the Mayor's Opportunity Scholarship doubled to $4,500, and five healthcare students received $20,000 each! Tonight, we awarded nearly $700K in scholarships! 🎓💼
