New Publication Alert: The Manship School's Dr. Nihar Sreepada published his latest research in Public Relations Journal! 📚✨ His study, "Friends or Foes? Hispanic and Black Media Portrayals of Corporate Environmental Sustainability," explores the portrayal of corporate environmental sustainability in Hispanic and Black media, addressing an under-researched topic in sustainability communication. This incredible project was supported by a Page Legacy Scholar Grant from the Arthur W. Page Center for Integrity in Public Communication at the Donald P. We are thrilled to announce the launch of the new AI and Misinformation Lab at the Manship School! This lab will explore and analyze AI's role in various areas of communication, including identifying and preventing misinformation and disinformation. The lab's objectives include advancing research on AI's impact in journalism, public relations, digital advertising, and political communication. It will also provide hands-on training in generative AI tools to promote "AI literacy" among students and faculty. Additionally, the lab will examine ethical considerations related to AI research and development, such as privacy, bias, fairness, transparency, accountability, and the responsible use of AI technologies. Investigators: Dr. Nihar Sreepada, Dr. Janice Lee, Dr. Soojin Kim, Dr. Bingbing Zhang (external collaborator, Assistant Professor at University of Iowa).
