A standard poodle is genetically a very intelligent breed of K9. An Afghan Hound is genetically low on the intelligent scale. No one one would argue that these traits are genetic. However, both breeds can breed and reproduce thereby significantly lowering the intelligence of their offspring. Caucasians are among the most intelligent people in the world. Africans are among the least intelligent people on earth - quite possibly the least. Both can reproduce. That's why, African Americans have the lowest IQ of anyone in the United States, yet are slightly more intelligent than a Sub Saharan African. They mixing of white and black people through decades have lowered the IQ of many "white people" in the US and raised the IQ of the black population. It's a horrible thing to mix the races as it ultimately leads to a lower worldwide intelligence. That's the reason smart people don't breed standard poodles with Afghan hounds , and when they do, you wind up with some doodle mix that's as dumb as a rock.
