And please return all the billions of dollars taken by dubious colleges licensed by Canadian govt.
After all Canadian High Commission was promoting and facilitating these dubious colleges recruitment drive in foreign countries.
This scam involved everyone including students, licensed canadian immigration agents, colleges, ircc, and most importantly Canadian govt which got fat with billions in forex and cheap slave labor.

I came to know about various castes in India because of the reservation system while preparing for IIT-JEE.
Reservation is a paradox. It actually increases castism, exactly opposite of what it intends to do.

I think Canada has taken correct decision now but it is also true that they intentially allowed this to happen.

I mostly agree with this take, but I also think we ought to consider it our problem if we had Canadian college and university recruiters and immigration consultants misleading foreigners about how these programs worked.
One way to address any injustice here is to extend the limitation period for civil claims of deceit and negligent misrepresentation arising from cases like these.
Another way is to use the licensing process to hold people on our side responsible. Immigration consultants who defrauded people did this should lose their licenses and face criminal prosecution and higher-ed admins who knew or were neglectful about what they were doing should be named, shamed, and driven out of the business.

I’m not sure why this should be considered our problem. Temporary is a word that has meaning, and coming here on a temporary visa does not grant anyone an entitlement to stay. This is frankly very simple.

A Temporary Resident Visa was and is (trigger warning)…. temporary!
Doesn’t matter what the dodgy immigration consultant told them back home.
Doesn’t matter what false promises the diploma mill / greedy community college told them.
Doesn’t matter what their friends told them on a WhatsApp group.
What matters is the law.

Colleges actively promoted pathways to residency. Businesses got cheap labor. Govt even allowed 40hr work per week for int. students. Govt got billions of forex.
Billion dollar value canadian compa y was established based on these students.
Everyone was involved in skimming students for their money.
Students also knew they r coming for labor and residency.
Canadian govt designed this scam.

This was a crooked system, almost a scam, setup by canadian govt and instituions to exactly take money in exchange of residency.
Nobdoy is innocent here but only kids will end up paying.

The scam artist in the Indian knows there’s a Canadian audience for his sob story. Don’t fall for it! I too, came to Canada as an international student, and my father moved heaven and earth to pay my tuition. When it became clear there was no way I could fund my graduate program, I left and also my student visa was about to expire. I returned later when I had the money and I still had a spot in the program.
Notice how this sob story is rarely attempted in Gulf countries or elsewhere with large Indian migrant populations. Why? Because everyone understands that temporary residence is temporary. It is only in Canada that disappointment is repackaged as victimhood and a visa is treated as a down payment on citizenship.

@Pivot2Centre Just build a reputation in first year or two at a company then reap benefits for the rest of the life.
But requires exceptional work ethic, may be 4 to 5x work impact than others. Then normal social skills makes career smooth sailing. Just my experience.

Because most of land u see as vacant land acroos GTA is already been bought by big players. So most land is tied up.
They will move to zoning changes only when they see multiple times return.

They leave the house to their estate or the kids. It gets into rental or the next gen moves in.
The market is down 20% across the board and to say things are $300K higher? Have you checked the raw material costs - builders can’t build a unit and make profit at current prices.
