I’m a little surprised the Sabres are going to play Metsa tonight (based on morning skate reports) after he played 3 games in 3 days for the Amerks over the weekend.
They’re getting a tired team and dressing a defensemen that will be playing his 4th in 5 nights.
Seemed like a logical spot to get Kesselring back in but idk I guess he’s just not going to play again until they’re clinched.

@CHurls13 I guess I'm one of the rare ones that like Stanley and Schenn as the bottom pair. And I absolutely dislike Kesselring. Metsa is a great option if one of the top 6 is injured. Also, Timmins is below Metsa but over Kesselring.

@ByMHarrington So personally I think Stanley plays that role, and Schenn as well, when they play him. Good depth trades by Jarmo, in my book. Same with Carrick and Pearson. Jarmo did a great job at the deadline.

@ByMHarrington People are obsessed with Kesselring. He was pretty bad this season. Lindy healthy scratch him already this season, and it was long before the trade. They were expecting him to be a top 4, but he isn't that kind of D. They needed more muscles in the bottom 6, more intimidating Ds.

Yep. First thing is if Kesselring is healthy enough to go back out. But yeah, it's reasonable to wonder if there's a little bit of we're not sitting the guy I traded for going on here.

l would like to get Kesselring in there for Stanley. Stanley hasn't shown anything that warrants a spot. He's taken a bunch of minor penalties, maybe some due to his size, but he's not a top 6, and it's almost like thteir forcing it to prove it was a good trade. They better hope Rosen doesn't turn into a 30+ goal scorer, giving him up for 2 guys who shouldn't play when it matters is not going to be a great look. I'm also not saying they should've kept Rosen, but there had to be a better deal out there.

@visegrad24 Man, I thought AfD was a reasonable conservative choice for Germany. I still think most of their policies make sense. This one is pretty dumb. That said, I would be happy to see US troops leave Germany. Germany is way too leftist and wacko now. ,

@Nietzschescode @23sabres That being said, Owen power is for sure having his best season as a pro but every so often you get a reminding glimpse of his bad habits and last night was one of those games. Twitter fans will look at a chart and tell you otherwise tho

@BflosSaddestFan @23sabres Wasn't Kesselring at one point this season was healthy but got healthy scratch because he was really bad? That was way before Jarmo got Stanley and Schenn. Also, the fact Jarmo "traded" for Parayko was because Kesselring disappointed to fill the role expected from him by KA?

@Nietzschescode @23sabres Kesslering was brought here to play a completely different role than he was given in Utah and dealt with injuries all season. Once he was “healthy” he actually was playing decent, but jarmo traded for guys and obviously the coach has to play those guys to get them acclimated

@BflosSaddestFan @23sabres Last Summer people thought that Kesselring would be a top 4 with the Sabres. Adams didn't realize he had top 4 minutes in Utah because their 3 RHD were down for most of the season....
