@PatsKam The weirdest flex is refusing to teach someone a skill and then mocking them for not having it.

Unpopular opinion but narcissistic parents do everything "for you" but never actually teach you any skills. Then tell everyone you don't know how to do anything.

@MsMelChen @MrWinMarshall America's greatest export was never Hollywood, tech, or fast food. It was the idea that your future doesn't have to look like your past.

Dear America, On this, your 250th birthday, we celebrate the audacious experiment that still sets you apart from every nation that has ever been: a republic built on ordered liberty, where free men and women consent to be governed yet refuse to be ruled. You alone dared to declare that rights come not from kings or majorities but from the Creator, and that government exists to secure them, not dispense them. You are the superlative nation - greatest in scale and spirit, unmatched in your restless vitality. How unique is your wild, irreverent confidence that turns impossible dreams into towering realities? Where else does such extravagant abundance flow - not merely of wealth, but of opportunity, reinvention, and second chances? And what land has ever matched your extreme self-confidence, that bold, almost reckless conviction that tomorrow can always be made better, bigger, freer? To so many of us born elsewhere, you remain the lone and steadfast beacon whose light still pierces the gathering darkness. Your strength and spirit sustain not only your own shores but every heart around the world that yearns for freedom, dignity and self-determination. Guard your rare and precious character, for in them lies the secret of your enduring greatness. We need you now more than ever. Wishing all Americans a happy Independence Day! And may God bless the United States of America 🇺🇸

Criticizing a referee's performance isn't the same thing as criticizing their identity. That's where this argument falls apart. Inclusiveness means everyone gets a chance to do the job. It doesn't mean nobody can criticize how the job is done. "You support diversity, therefore you can't complain about bad officiating" is a pretty wild leap. By this logic, nobody should ever criticize a player, coach, or executive from an underrepresented group. That's not how accountability works.

One of the most bizarre -- and possibly most hypocritical -- things in the history of sports is listening to WNBA players/coaches/media absolutely trash the DEI-heavy, mostly female, lesbian-looking referees. Let me remind you, as spelled out by Fever coach Stephanie White when defending Alyssa Thomas, what the mission of the league is: "Our league is about inclusiveness, our league is about competition, our league is about elevating, elevating women, elevating marginalized communities, being inclusive of all different walks of life." Except when it comes to the refs. According to White, Caitlin Clark, and all the other girlboss hoopers, their sisters blowing whistles are totally incompetent. Imagine if basketball fans applied the same standards to the loudest critics of WNBA refs. Is Stephanie White any more competent at her job than the typical WNBA ref? If there are -- conservatively -- 10 million men across the globe better at playing basketball than the typical WNBA player, how many men are better at officiating basketball games? The DEI league has DEI refs. We accept the inferior play but expect top-flight officiating. Why? The bellyaching and whining about officiating from everyone associated with the WNBA is just another bad look for a league sponsored by the charity of men. The entire league is devoid of gratitude and grace. They're dumping on the marginalized and voiceless referees who are no worse at their jobs than all the whiners.
