To anyone worried about the political party “purity” of your voting record, the LA Mayoral race is non-partisan. And you’re not a government representative, so whom and what you voted for is not public anyway. The only way people will know for whom you voted is if you tell them. And if you’re friends with someone who would kick you aside just because you voted for some sanity in LA, then they weren’t much of a friend to begin with.

If that addict on your street were your own son, what would you do? That is the defining question that guides my 5 step plan to fix the homelessness problem in LA. We *must* end this evil racket of corrupt politicians and NGOs who profit off the misery of these poor souls. Yes, the United States has the most progressive tax system in the world. The top 1% pay 40% of taxes, the bottom 50% pay 3% of taxes. We can make it even more progressive by zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. It’s a small amount of the total tax revenue but very meaningful to people in this group.

@soycesiarivas jajaja, no joda. Eso no es solucion, hacen bajar la recaudacion fiscal y el minimo alivio no es para las clases populares sino para la clase media que compra en supermercados. Cuando tengan soluciones reales a los problemas del pais y no solo ser gallos chingueros platicamos.

Aquí no olvidamos que la encuesta de la UCA muestra que un 51.5% de los hogares dejó de comprar ciertos alimentos debido al aumento de precios. De estos, un 66.5% señaló que suprimió la compra de carne y embutidos, mientras que un 60% redujo el consumo de lácteos y huevos. Aquí no olvidamos que los Diputados de Nuevas Ideas, y sus aliados PCN y PDC dijeron NO a quitarle el IVA a la canasta básica.
