A year ago, I couldn’t swim. I'm 23, had never tried to learn it, didn’t even know where to start. As a kid i used to go to the beach nd stuff but was just swimming in the sand lol in My First month Learning. I kept failing. Couldn’t float. Couldn’t breathe. Felt like it was impossible. I was seeing people doing it and I say in my mind "HOW TF, why they can, and I can't" "Maybe It's just not for me, I can never learn it..." "Let's just stop, there's no improvement" But I kept showing up. week after week. Slowly, I improved... without even noticing. 4 months later, I could swim like I’d been doing it forever. It wasn't perfect but was 999% better than a 4 months ago. and I kept improving month after month, kept breaking my own records, now i can swim for hours, can go fast like I never imagined. And now I just FUCKING love this Sport :) What I learned? – Starting from 0 is totally okay – Don’t compare yourself to anyone, everyone has a different start line.. – Progress is invisible, until it’s not. It's like the Bamboo Tree, when planted, it shows no visible growth for four years despite being watered and nurtured. In the fifth year, it suddenly grows to 18m or 24m in just six weeks Just start and be patient. You’re more capable than you think.
