Trump is trying to take away Iran’s ability to leverage the Strait of Hormuz. The issue is that Gulf allies can now blame TRUMP for Hormuz’s closure instead of Iran. Trump fails to understand it’s not about who closes the Strait, it’s about if it’s closed at all.
