@OVHSXC @coachjayjohnson @runthe8 @FinalSurge XC season was just cancelled for us, so now we will find creative ways to "race" this fall: -virtual race series (i.e. time trials) vs. other teams maybe? - Race distances in gradual progressions every other week: 2 mi, 4k, 5k, 6k, 8k, 10k? Brainstorming currently in the works.

@coachjayjohnson Coach do you have any strategies, materials, ideas, etc. addressing something like this for HS runners trying to keep track of their training? Thanks!

@CoachKatieRees @coachjayjohnson @runthe8 @FinalSurge Perfect! That’s what we’re thinking, bigger volume and strengthening. We like the idea of the athletes being able to keep each other accountable and competing a little.

My whole team has been using Strava since shutdown in March - they see what each other is doing, & it motivates them to get out the door too. In March, we refocused goals: take advantage of time to do big volume/get stronger w/o needing to race on tired legs.

I want to see who will handle consistency/dedication it takes to perform at college level: -Days/wk getting out the door -Stringing together multiple weeks of consistent training -Notes/paces show me attitude towards training & ability to execute
