Because the entire concept of the “marketplace of ideas” implies speakers are testing their ideas against one another, not cowered in a protected corner of the internet just repeating the same unchallenged points over and over and over again.
Without any of these ideas making contact with each other, we no longer have a marketplace of ideas, we have a bunch of people sitting in their own corners preaching to their respective choirs, and one of the biggest purposes of “free speech” is completely dead.

Iran never had a nuclear weapons program. Obama's deal ended their nuclear program entirely. Israel was desperate for US to get out of that deal, precisely because their nuclear program has always been the FAKE justification for the regime change war they wanted all along.

I listened to the whole debate and your performance was one of the best I've seen, excellent. I will say that the whole issue has been complicated by the presence of Iran's proxies. This has exacerbated the problems tremendously, deliberately conflating legitimate Palestinian concerns with their genocidal intents, stirring up hatred and hardness of heart. Failure to agree on the meaning of Zionism leads to equivocation and confused dialogue. All outside influence needs to be diminished/eliminated so that the true indigenous people, Jews & Palestinians can determine their future. The influence of rest of the world needs to be pushed out. It's an interesting manifesto. He's 'disturbed' not crazy.
His POV regarding the lack of security was revealing. Unfortunately, I suspect far too many Americans would agree with his take on things & his actions (like in Mangione case). There is a real ideological divide. Echo chambers are created on social media, fueled by rhetoric, often reinforced by MSM, that doesn't allow a balanced truth to prevail and so unbalanced people take unreasonable actions.

Cole Allen’s manifesto is glib - it starts with an exclamation mark and a joke, followed by some apologies he doesn’t mean.

People can occupy a ton of different positions whether or not they believe in moral facts. It's the laziest, most 20 IQ high school Christian take to go "oh, this guy doesn't believe in moral facts, therefor everything is arbitrary and trivial and they can believe in anything!!!"
