@ivycomb @vandercat @Benny_the_cat No idea what you're talking about considering this thing with a proper downpipe and exhaust sounds phenomenal. I own 4 cylinders, 5 cylinders, 6 cylinders, and V8s. All of them have some form of aftermarket exhaust, and all sound good in their own regard. Let people enjoy things

The exhausts do improve the note slightly but it's not in the way a lot of people expect. I can only explain so much in a tweet reply, but in general what happens when a lot of people put exhausts on their 4 cylinders is they are expecting a massive transformation of the car's sound. It will sound better, but more than it sounds better it will be a lot of the same sound but just a lot louder. 4 cylinder cars (subjectively) just don't sound that good. I would take a V8 with a botched straight pipe over a 4 cylinder with the best possible exhaust every single time (and I don't even own a V8 at the moment)

What poor financial decision should I make first A: replace the entire sound system in my car Or B: replace the exhaust system on my car

Which one is better though 👀

@yourlocalfusky @MintySnep Sport package cars got M-wheels standard. That shifter is aftermarket though, never seen an E39 with one like that stock.

@WysWyg_Protogen We actually got it from my dad so it was a big DIY adventure. My parents were moving and didn't have room for it in their new house, so Vander and I flew down to Florida, took it apart, loaded it into a uHaul, then drove it back and reassembled it. It was surprisingly easy to do!

@OneAwkwardFox The pricing on those isn't bad either! I was surprised to see that they only cost around like 5K. Did you have yours professionally installed or did you and Vander DIY?

Fast Fox Garage now has a new 4 post lift! And making very good use of the already existing tools to fix everything that makes its way in here

@WysWyg_Protogen It's already coming in very handy! Super nice to just easily get cars on and off and having the ability to store an extra car in the shop is huge!

The last time I got a new toolbox was in 2009 when my parents got me a Craftsman cabinet. You guys have seen it…the one with all the furry stickers all over. Well, this week I’m finally upgrading to a real box. I’ve got an Icon 73” roller with a stainless top and I CAN’T WAIT!

First post of 2026. I turned 29, immediately got a silly tattoo I love, had a party with friends, and shiny fox made an appearance. Now it's time to go back to my home until I have cooler updates to give, hopefully soon 🫡

Well I guess now I own a broken Miata…and perhaps a broken e39 540i manual. It needs a motor so I’m not so sure about that one yet, looking at it more this weekend. Not sure if I’m shooting myself in the foot or if these will be good business decisions lolz
