Statistics are difficult to come by as they do not support what government propaganda tells us, but here are a couple: - Adjusted for inflation, spending per pupil has increased 280% since 1960, yet competencies continue to fall. - From 1950 to 2009, student populations increased by 96%, while non-teaching staff increased by 702%. Inadequate funding is clearly not the problem. Lack of competition is. No monopoly is good.

@PegThink @SketchesbyBoze Or maybe it's the fact that we've been underpaying teachers and starving the education system. Maybe it's not okay that the public schools are considered inferior education. Maybe it would be a good idea to prioritize our children instead of our oligarchs.

The ‘Libertarian’ party is no different than any other political party. That being a desire to rule by a collective consensus of opinion (hence all of the infighting over what a ‘real’ libertarian is). I had to chuckle over their ‘Be Ungovernable’ tag line prominently displayed at their convention to select candidates for GOVERNMENT office 🤪

NEW: Tennessee grandmother spends five months in jail after facial recognition links her to crimes in North Dakota, a state she says she never visited Angela Lipps, 50, was arrested at gunpoint by U.S. Marshals at her home in Elizabethton while babysitting four children She was held in jail for 108 days without bail and later flown to North Dakota on felony fraud charges The case stemmed from a Fargo investigation into someone using a fake U.S. Army ID to withdraw money Her attorneys provided records showing she was in Tennessee at the time of the alleged crimes. Lipps said it took five minutes of questioning for the case to fall apart She was released on Christmas Eve after charges were dismissed without prejudice. Fargo’s police chief later admitted investigators made multiple errors but did not apologize

@KyleMatovcik I find it a bit ironic that self proclaimed ‘libertarians’ (where collectivism should be rejected) are seeking a collective consensus on morality.

I wouldn’t say drastically’ altering their lives. An increase in awareness is the key. Fortunately, those of us serious ‘foodies’ already prefer meals prepped without seed oils, and we often prep our own meals (they are much tastier than what one finds at a restaurant). We have never made a sauce with seed oils (yuk!); and do not find seed oil dressings tasty (olive oil makes a much tastier base than any seed oil). If you’re not a ‘foodie’, food plays a much lesser role in your life. Smaller role, smaller impact. Even then, finding sauces and dressings without seed oil is not as difficult as it may seem. Just check those labels! And try places like Steak and Shake for fast food (they use beef tallow in place rather than seed oils).

I’m at the point where I don’t believe any of these studies where people “didn’t eat seed oils”. So, they went to zero restaurants? Ate basically no food from packages? Never had salad dressing or used sauces? The only people NOT eating seed oils are those who are VERY specifically altering their lives in drastic ways, and people with crippling OCD and they only eat boiled cabbage or something. (Rare)

@AntiCommieBecca I’ve never seen so many astrologists (those attributing personality traits solely on date of birth) and racists in a comment section. The overwhelming ignorance is breathtaking.

@LegendaryEnergy Not only do those ignorant enough to believe all people born within certain dates all share the same beliefs have zero credibility, they also demonstrate gullibility by falling for the ‘us versus them’ propaganda perpetuated by the state.

@blunt_guy77360 @LPNational @USTermLimits A few options immediately come to mind: The Montreal Cognitive Test (the one Trump recently took); the Civil Service Exam (other federal employees are required to pass); and lastly, USCIS (naturalization civics test…if new citizens are required to pass, so should the POTUS).

This is a clear demonstration of the evils of the collectivist basis of socialism. The rights of the individual are erased. It no longer matters that this woman (and/or her loved ones) have contributed enough to society to exchange for healthcare services. When healthcare becomes socialized, it becomes a scarcity to be meted out based on subjective criteria.

@PronouncedHare It's fair enough. The old are literally sucking the life out of the young by spending billions on healthcare for no long-term advantage. We need to spend that money on young people instead.

When my grandmother was 99 she had a pacemaker fitted. They flew her to Wellington for the operation. Before they went the guy asked her if she wanted to be resuscitated. She said yes. The guy then asked her again, explaining that it can cause quite painful injuries. She was a completely capable woman of full mental capacity and said yes she understood and please resuscitate her if she needed it. He then asked her a third time, telling her that her quality of life might be different. At that point, my grandmother turned to my father and asked “What does he want me to say?” and Dad then intervened telling the now very defensive guy to knock it off. That kind of low level pressure happens in the health system every day.

🚨Do you understand the irony of what just happened.. the FBI spent two years investigating Hillary Clinton for using a personal email for government work.. it dominated every news cycle.. it decided an election.. "lock her up.." the man they put in charge of the FBI.. just got his personal email hacked by Iran.. the DOJ confirmed it.. Iran-linked group "Handala" breached FBI Director Kash Patel's personal email and got his data.. think about the timing.. America has fired 850 Tomahawk missiles at Iran this month.. spent billions.. and Iran didn't fire back with a missile.. they walked through the front door of the FBI.. and here's what nobody wants to say out loud.. the FBI Director was using a personal email in the first place.. the same thing the FBI called a national security threat when Hillary did it.. the agency that decides what's a crime.. doesn't follow its own rules.. The rules only apply until you're the one making them.

I don’t oppose euthanasia per se. My philosophy professor said it best: When euthanasia becomes ‘legal’ (socially acceptable), it cheapens life. The elderly and infirm feel obligated to end their lives and healthcare providers have incentive to pressure patients into that choice when care cuts into profits. When there is ‘something to lose’, that decision is more likely to carry the weight that it should. Canada’s health care system should not be suggesting a person consider euthanasia when she becomes frustrated at not receiving a chair lift for her home, nor should we deny those suffering immense pain the right to end that pain.

According to Noelia’s lawyer, she could not cancel her euthanasia because “her organs were already committed”. Spain placed more value on her organs than on her life, had her murdered, and essentially sold her for parts.

No changing of MY mind. The original post indicated cancellation of euthanasia (change of mind) was not possible for Castillo. I absolutely support a person’s right to change THEIR mind on the matter (nothing to do with whether or not I support euthanasia). This is also not a clear cut case of ‘right to die’. Family argued in court that Castillo could not make her own judgements due to her personality disorder, and that the state had a responsibility to protect her. There are other factors at play here.

@TRHLofficial You're a libertarian. Don't you believe in the hospitals right to make money? You're telling me you don't like capitalism and meritocracy now? Your libertarianism degraded people to economic units.

As a negotiator, it's always good to keep the other side confused as to what you're thinking And Trump is mastering this skillset All 'experts' and 'analysts' have no idea what the hell Trump is going to do next, whether they like to admit it or not

Pre-agricultural human vs. early farmer. The bones don't lie. Hunter-gatherer: - Average height: taller by 4–6 inches - Dental caries: near absent - Bone density: higher - Skeletal trauma: hunting injuries, acute - Anaemia: rare - Work hours: 4 per day for food - Diet: hyper-carnivore - Epidemic disease: structurally impossible (too dispersed) Early farmer: - Shorter across every population studied - Rotten teeth by age twenty - Thinner bones - Repetitive strain injuries from grinding grain - Chronic iron deficiency anaemia - Sunup to sundown - Wheat, barley, whatever grew - Smallpox. Measles. Tuberculosis. The whole welcome pack. We didn't discover farming because it was healthier. We discovered farming because you could store grain, grow armies, and tell people what to do. The logic was always political. The biology was collateral.

@RepThomasMassie I’d venture to guess Trump knew you voted for DHS and SAVE Act. He said it as a smear. There is a much wider audience on Fox than viewers that will ever see your correction.

In my 50+ years of working in the private sector, never did I encounter a situation where increasing expenses (thereby reducing profits) occurred. I survived many RIFs to save payroll expenses); endured cutbacks on hardware and software acquisitions and maintenance; and use of overseas $12 an hour consultants…and never asked to negatively impact bottom line by increasing expenditures. It sounds like something funny was going on. It’s actually illegal for corporate officers and directors to act contrary to the interest of shareholders.

🚨 HOLY CRAP. Health Sec. RFK Jr. revealed that the Biden White House ORDERED HHS to ignore fraud — and just focus on enrolling as many people on welfare as possible, legal or illegal "One of the things that I found out from people in my agency was they were ordered by the Biden White House not to do program integrity — in other words, not to enforce against fraud." "And they said, they were told we want to focus on only enrollment and getting more and more people into the system!" This is a jaw-dropping betrayal of America. Root out all the fraud!
