They're building neat things, and I'm helping them by bringing builds to life with code. It's a fascinating and fun experience seeing stuff bloom. God I can't wait for #hytale, that looks like what I've wanted plus more - why doesn't mojang let us use custom models in-game? 😂

Gonna take some time and record some of the things I've been doing in Skript, it's something I'm very passionate about and I'm very happy that not only does the stuff finally work how I want it to, but I have a few people contributing to builds as well.

Been a while since I posted. Minecraft + Skript got updates, and a long-standing project got sparked again for me so I've been doing a lot of code in Skript. Still have the assets for pixelfox, but I've been itching to code for minecraft stuff for a while. streamable.com/8k1xtf

Getting ready to start assembling how level layouts work as far as stage layout of tiles/walls go. I can make some diagonals and smaller tiles work by making them have different hit boxes than a normal tile. I can add a tile property in tiled to make them play by these rules too.

unplugged it verified it was the burning culprit and disposed of it. immediately afterward the power pole across the street blew a fuse and now were out of power it feels like i just dodged a bullet or a housefire. have to stop #gamedev now and integrity check everything

So, I smelled something weird, a plastic melting burning smell and I verified that it was coming from my room and nowhere else. Unplugged everything and started trying to narrow out what is burning. Turns out it was my older of two monitors, power flicker before I smelled it

Whew its Thursday already? Busy week at work but I managed to finish up some sprites that needed to be made. Haven't had a whole lot of time because work and real-life issues such as someone deciding to practice their art skills by painting your car using their own car's paint.

@Rhoq7 @balmut_ This, basically. Something I haven't really taken into consideration is that I am coming up from a 32x32 screen to an almost 300x200 playing field. I can afford to make enemies larger and more beautiful, and strike-able, in due time. A lot more freedom than #lowresjam ruleset.

Watch as I struggle to hit my own testing enemies. But hey, at least the demonstration of weapon pickups was a success! On a side note I need to figure out the proper etiquette of twitter tags. If there's some kind of unwritten social rule on these let me know. #gamedev #agdg

oi crusty snipping tool image compression... it's hiding pixels and doing that fuzzy edges thing. But trust me it looks a lot better in the image editor and the game engine does not do fuzzy edges, so it looks crisp in there too. Also I ran out of characters to tag #agdg lol

Trying to make pixels look nice while trying to keep notes about how things are supposed to work. I am happy with it and I feel like even though I really didn't touch the code editor much I took care of things that needed to get done. Still not 100% done though. 🥴 #gamedev

Time to take a short break and have some lunch. Able to score a loaf of bread, some lunch meat, shredded cheddar and a jar of pickles for under seven dollars. Thanks dollar general!

CHANGE OF PLANS. ImageMagick just let me batch transparency 7 things at once, like instantly. So now I want to sprite up the next big batch of bullets that I'll be using so I can hop in it one chunk at a time with the assets already on hand. What a useful program! #gamedev

Got weapon powerups cycling, and collectable. Weapons now change depending on what colored gems you have in the weapon slot, and you can stall gems by shooting them to force them to cycle. Now to sprite up and code a lot of projectiles and effects! 😄

Weapon crystals! The beginnings of powerups. Now to make it so if you shoot it, you can juggle it and keep it on the screen for a little while longer.
