An SSB Political Officer gives a lecture on party values to his assigned SPLF Company at the end of the quarterly muster and inspection. Founded as an insurgent group against the Kingdoms occupation of the North, the Sahrani People's Liberation Front serves as an on call militia force, now officially integrated into the SLA Regional Defense Brigades.

Charge of the Dragoons
The centerpiece of SMI's Lobo Upgrade Project, is the BMR-600 Lobo Dragoon package. Using American Dragoon turrets produced under license, SMI has provided a massive firepower upgrade for Mechanized Infantry and Reconnaissance units across the Kingdom. 1st Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers was the first unit to receive their Dragoons. Crews from 1BN are already very pleased with its performance, and have begun sending out crews to other units scheduled to receive Dragoons in the coming year. The BMR-600 Lobo Dragoon is also fielded by Reconnaissance units in the Royal Fusiliers, 4th Armored Division, and the Royal Sahrani Marines. Additionally Dragoons have been issued to the Ground Combat Element of the RSN/RSM Task Force Atlantic. While the remaining BMR fleet is set to receive the Dragoon upgrade package, recent global conflicts have affected production of the Dragoon turrets, and SMI has unable to provide an estimated time of completion for the project.

Tammuz Troubles
Already a costly and complicated project, the Tammuz Upgrade Package has been further slowed by the current conflicts. Israeli Advisors were recalled to active service back home, depriving SMI engineers of much needed guidance. Despite set backs, SMI has produced enough units to begin issuing to combat units. The Tammuz system is currently in use with the Royal Fusiliers and RSN/RSM GCE-TFA.

A Blocking Force
As outlined during the formation of the 52nd Independent Mountain Regiments founding, one of its primary tasks was to screen or provide a blocking force in support of the larger offensive formations in the SLA and SRG. As the unit participated in large scale exercises, it became apparent that the 52nd IMR lacked the heavy equipment to adequately perform against heavier equipped opposition. Company 5213 and Company 5223 of 1st and 2nd Battalions respectively, were re-designated as Light Armor Reconnaissance Companies and issued PT-76Bs. These small light tanks added much needed firepower during screening and blocking actions. The 52nd IMR currently operates 22 PT-76Bs.

In the Navy
Following the war, the Ministry of Defense made the realization that had the war moved north, its beaches would have been undefended. The SLAN at the time was only equipped with small patrol craft and a handful of missile boats that it kept hidden from the fighting once the US Navy arrived to help the Kingdom. It had no means of defending the shores and the SLA's Regional Defense Brigades were spread thin protecting civilian population centers and area of strategic importance. Thus, the MoD ordered the SLAN to form the Coastal Defense Force. Early on SLAN planners sought to implement the amphibious light tank into the CDF. The Coastal Defense Regiment was standardized to field two Naval Infantry Battalions, and one Mechanized Naval Infantry Battalion, as well as supporting formations. Each Mechanized Naval Infantry Battalion would field two companies of Naval Infantry mounted on BTR-60s, and one Company of PT-76B Light Tanks. The purpose of the MNIB would be to either QRF in force to an undefended beach under imminent threat, or provide heavy fire support for the Naval Infantry Battalions in defense or amphibious operations. The CDF currently operates 55 PT-76Bs.
