@Rmadonyfc_ It’s simple: If you aren't versatile, you’re predictable. And in the UCL, being predictable is a death sentence. No matter how good your dribbling is, if you refuse to vacate your 'favorite spot' to help the team, you’re just making the opponent's job easier. Adapt or stagnate.

The reason why I rarely blame Mbappe is because Vinicius was already at Real Madrid before him, he knows being a Real Madrid player means you need to adapt and be versatile.
But instead, he is trying so hard to be like Mbappe, refusing to switch positions mid game because he wants to be the dribbler on the LW, keep in mind he played in a 442 Diamond before Mbappe arrived where he thrived.
My main point of this post is that Ronaldo didn’t care where he played, be it LW, RW or CF…….
Vinicius is our Ronaldo replacement, he’s the one with the number 7 jersey, he’s the one who should lead and be flexible.
If Mbappe starts as a 9 and is drifting to the LW, Vinicius should position himself as a false 9 and help dictate the play and move defenders away….
I’m not saying Mbappe is a better Left winger, but that’s just where I think Vinicius is messing up big time, he’s not even trying out other positions.
Personally I think he will also be a deadlier RW, which will leave room for players like Arda Guler to shine in midfield.
One of my biggest issues with him is he refuses to get into better goal scoring positions, he’s always trying to cut in and shoot, which rarely works as he doesn’t have that natural shoulder feint skill like say a Rodrygo or Olise.
Benzema carried him and turned him into a link up play demon, but it feels like he can’t lead Mbappe and teach him how to adapt, it’s not just by what he says, it’s by the runs he makes, and where he positions himself.
Lastly, frowning his face whenever any tiny little thing happens is not helping matters, he used to argue with refs and oops which was fine, but now it’s his teammates, Xabi Alonso and Bellingham, and Perez soon.
Life will be much better if he becomes more versatile, and try to be more fluid, rather than hugging the LW like a child who doesn’t want to share his toy.
