Statement from the head of school, who appears to be more upset about our social media post exposing what is happening under his watch than the actual antisemitic act that happened. The community must have missed his first communication condemning what actually happened … 🙄. May 2, 2026 Dear Kinkaid Community, Earlier today, it came to my attention that social media posts accusing The Kinkaid School and our school leadership of antisemitism have been circulating in our community, being seen by our students, parents, alumni, faculty, and staff. Unequivocally, Kinkaid will not tolerate antisemitism. These posts and their associated comments go against everything that Kinkaid stands for and how we teach our students civil discourse. Our community norms are based on our core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and kindness, and there is absolutely no room in our community for hateful, derogatory speech or discriminatory, hostile actions which are racist, sexist, bigoted, or express any other type of hate. These posts state that school leadership has displayed a lack of accountability and action regarding an incident that occurred at Culture Fest back on March 31. Nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is the School launched an investigation and is taking appropriate action. I trust that as members of our community, you will understand that student and family conversations and faculty and staff personnel matters are confidential, and I will not share details that address any individuals in my communication. Every member of this incredibly special community has the responsibility to practice civility, consider the impact of their words and actions on others in the community, and treat one another with respect in their interactions. We will not allow members of our Kinkaid community to treat other members with disrespect. I'm very aware that we cannot control actions and communication that takes place outside of Kinkaid's gates, nor can we ignore their impact on our community. As we prepare our students for college and beyond, it is imperative that we model civility for our students, provide them with the tools needed to discern facts from misinformation, and develop the understanding and curiosity needed to navigate these incredibly difficult conversations. I will not engage in conversations regarding this type of unproductive and divisive speech, and I am asking you, as members of our community, not to engage either.
