#Bengals CB DJ Turner was called in before Week 1 last season and told he wouldn’t start...
He told HC Zac Taylor: “Bet. I’ll get it back—and when I do, I’m not coming off the field.”
Turner went on to get the game-winning INT in Week 1, reclaimed the starting job, and finished as a top-5 CB in the NFL last season.

@CommanderSZN @1nJvR @MySportsUpdate True but he only played in 14 games and only started 5 of them. He played 376 snaps on defense which is 38% and 168 snaps on special teams which is 45%. Credit where credit is due at least DJ turner started 16 games and played 974 snaps on defense which is 89%.

That wasn't due to the scheme or the play calling either bc he's the only DB in that room who was letting stuff up like that. Also allowed 4 TDs. So no he's not "great".

@CommanderSZN @1nJvR @MySportsUpdate James Pierre posted the lowest completion % allowed (42.9%) and the lowest passer rating allowed (41.4). So at that point he's probably HOF caliber right? Hell no. Despite that he was ranked the #2 overall CB by PFF lol. Dude was only targeted 35 times and only started 5 games.
