Got my first Yoruba language shock in Lagos.😂 I wanted to get down from the tricycle and I said “ti e ba ti ri aye o” 4 times and the man did not stop😭. It was until I said “ O wa” before he stopped. He dropped me like a 3 minutes walk after my bus stop. 😔 Lesson learnt😂

My hot take on this novel, Native Son is that, if Bigger had just quietly left the room when Mary's blind mother walked it, none of this horror would have happened. Mary's mother is Blind, yea? Why not leave instead of staying and panicking? It would have been lesser punishment
