This week, I fought to hold HHS accountable for illegally halting $10 b for child care & services in IL, MN, CA, CO, & NY and child care funds across the US. The GOP rejected my effort to penalize HHS’s illegal actions. Thank you AG Raoul for suing to stop the cruel GOP efforts.

Thousands of children and families are being harmed out of political revenge. It’s unpresidential and un-American, yet HHS has illegally stopped $1 b of our funds. HHS must immediately release the $1 b in child care and social services funding that our state is rightfully owed.

ACA Extension: Today’s victory proves a simple truth: when Democrats stay unified, listen to the people, & remain focused on results, we win. A people united will never be defeated. Democrats are on a roll! We are fighting for ordinary, everyday Americans.
