We won. Federal funding for the CA High-Speed Rail catastrophe has officially been terminated.

CA gas prices are already 50 cents higher than the next closest state. Sacramento politicians are trying to get us to $8/gallon as quickly as possible. They could suspend the gas tax, reduce cap & trade regulations, or relax fuel blend requirements. They're doing the opposite.

We just passed a bill to stamp out California's massive community college fraud. Over a third of applications in our state, 1.2 million in all, were fakes used for financial aid fraud. The No Aid for Ghost Students Act passed today in an overwhelming bipartisan committee vote.

California has the highest cost of living in America. Highest gas prices, highest electricity rates, highest taxes, second highest housing costs and water bills. The way to make America more affordable is to learn from California government's failures.

Californians were charged extra fees on their phone service the last six years for a "Next Generation 911 System." Yet after spending $450 million, Newsom scrapped the whole project because the technology doesn't work. Now there will be a state and federal investigation.

It is the longstanding policy of the United States that one of the most evil regimes in history cannot get its hands on the most powerful weapon in history. The decapitation of the Iranian regime and the destruction of its instruments of terror and death hold the potential for a safer America and a more peaceful world. We should all give our utmost gratitude to the incredible men and women who are carrying out these operations with unmatched skill and courage. And our hearts go out to the families of the three heroic American service members who have tragically lost their lives. The people of Iran, who have suffered so much and been denied the most basic of human rights for so long, now have the chance at a free and democratic future. I look forward to being briefed soon on the scale of operations, the strategy going forward, and any risks to American lives and interests that need to be met with urgency. Congress must be centrally involved in defining and pursuing U.S. objectives going forward

Good news. The serial child molester granted early release by Newsom's parole board will remain in custody. Our own District Attorney in Placer County immediately filed new charges stemming from a separate 1996 assault on a child in Roseville.

A child molester serving 3 life sentences was just granted parole and Newsom is denying responsibility. But he signed the early release law and it's his parole board letting the man out. The "monster parents fear most," as the judge called him, could now be back on our streets.

At this moment, the price of gas in California is $4.63/gallon. This is by far the highest in the nation. It's 23 cents higher than Hawaii, an island state. It's also $1.65 higher than Maryland, a bluer state than California. Our state's energy policies are uniquely harmful.

Checks and balances are the foundation of American government. Our Founders understood the tendency for each branch to test the limits of its authority in pursuit of even well-intentioned policy goals. Their ingenious solution was a dynamic power-sharing arrangement, a give-and-take among the branches, that would preserve the constitutional design over time. Last week’s vote by Congress and today’s Supreme Court decision represent precisely that give-and-take envisioned by the Founders. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the House to address the questions raised by today’s decision as we carry on our constitutional responsibilities.

I am heartbroken by the tragic avalanche near Lake Tahoe that has so far claimed eight lives. My prayers are with the victims, their families, and the rescue crews who continue the search. And a special note of thanks to the first responders and search and rescue teams working tirelessly in dangerous conditions to keep this tragedy from being even worse. You have our profound gratitude for your tireless work and dedication.

I asked Attorney General Bondi to focus DOJ's anti-fraud efforts on California, the Fraud Capital of America. I've also requested a GAO audit of all fraud in the state. We already know about $32 billion in EDD fraud, billions with SNAP/Medi-Cal, and millions in financial aid.

After overturning California's gas-car ban, we're now going to cut its excessive gas tax. My bill sets a national cap that will save CA drivers 21 cents/gallon immediately. California has a higher gas tax than every state yet has worse roads than just about every state.

We're calling for urgent action on our bill to detect and shut down illegal bio labs. The newly uncovered lab in Vegas was run by the same CCP-linked Chinese nationals as the one in California containing pathogens like HIV and Malaria. We don't know how many others are out there.

I've asked the Government Accountability Office to conduct a comprehensive investigation into fraud in California. The GAO will report back on how much money in total was publicly reported as lost to waste, fraud, and abuse. We already know about tens of billions.

Newsom just a held a celebration for a "major high-speed rail milestone." After 17 years and $17 billion, a single railhead is complete in Kern County. The entire LA to SF train was supposed to be finished by 2020. He's also pushing a bill to keep records of the project secret.

I'm calling for urgent consideration of my bill with Rep. Costa to detect and shut down illegal bio labs. We've just learned of a second such lab run by CCP-linked Chinese nationals in Vegas. Their first, in Reedley, CA, contained HIV, E. coli, Malaria, and other pathogens.

Any reforms to immigration enforcement should go hand-in-hand with stopping jurisdictions like California and Minnesota from releasing dangerous and wanted individuals into the community. These senseless "sanctuary" policies have traditionally been rejected on a bipartisan basis.

An illegal bio lab was just raided in Vegas. It is directly linked to the secret Chinese lab found in California in 2023, which was oozing with E. Coli, HIV, and Malaria. Congress must pass our bill to find these illegal labs and shut them all down.

The founders of Google are leaving CA because the government could soon confiscate $60 billion from each of them. This proposed “wealth tax” would collapse our state’s finances. It's also blatantly unconstitutional. I’m preparing legislation to preempt it under federal law.

Great news. After California failed to build major water storage for nearly 50 years, we've won federal approval for Sites Reservoir. Construction will start soon, adding 1.5 million acre-feet of capacity. This will help us save water rather than release it into the ocean.
