U.S. Marine Corps Private First Class Rex William Ackerman was killed in action on April 19, 1969 in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam. Rex was 20 years old and from Kendallville, Indiana. I Company, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines. Remember Rex today. He is an American Hero.🇺🇸

Was near Maplewood in Anderson and stopped to see several men. Markers all in good shape. Jimmie starting to see a bit of growth on top (one of first I cleaned 3+ years ago). Cemetery reset Charles’ marker, looks good and base needs cleaned 🇺🇸

SP4 Larry Dee Sherman from Marion, IN was killed in a convoy ambush in Vietnam on March 13, 1968. He is buried at Grant Memorial Park in Marion, GPS (40.540303, -85.675969). Marker cleaned August 2024. Hard to tell, but it's better. RIP Larry, thanks for your sacrifice. 🇺🇸
