@ScaryEurope Another useful idiot. Our tolerance of the intolerant is getting us raped, sexually assaulted, tortured and in some cases murdered.

@ScaryEurope This is purely a Starmer government 'value' - diluting British values to accommodate their catastrophic suicidal empathy. There is no 'must accept' about this being forced on the British people. Who the hell do these worthless MPs think they are.

The CI’s Head of Communications, Angus Saul, gives thanks to God for the fall of Kim Leadbeater MP’s assisted suicide Bill as it runs out of time at Westminster. However, urging vigilance, he warns that future attempts to push through similar laws are likely to follow and calls on our parliamentarians not to legislate for death but commit to improving palliative care.

If a British political party has a policy of euthanasia- put it in the manifesto. If a parliamentary candidate believes in it - put it in their statement to voters. If you don’t, you can fuck off when you complain about being stopped from ramming it through Parliament.

I’m not being funny but as Esther Rantzen says she was given 6 months to live about 4 yrs ago, then isn’t that good enough reason not to have Assisted Dying made legal as she probably wouldn’t be here today if it was in place. The medical profession don’t always get it right.

Not all, but a concerning number of those who supported the Assisted Dying Bill, are really unpleasant people. Uncaring & petulant bullies with an unwillingness to listen to concerns over flaws in the Bill. I'm really disappointed & chilled in the way they've behaved. We dodged a bullet, for now at least.

You freeze. You go into flight or fright. Any sexual trauma is reactivated. Your mental and physical health suffers. But none of that matters. All that matters is that Matt Rattley gets to wear his giant fake breasts to work and @UniofOxford doesn't have the balls to call him out and to protect their female students from having to see this. Or, from enduring the consequent trauma his behaviour is no doubt triggering.

@Psychgirl211 @UniofOxford How are you supposed to react when confronted by this? Any other time in history he would be either institutionalized, arrested or at least shamed through mockery and then shunned. This is normalizing perversion and/or mental illness.

"It's a bit like gay marriage, isn't it?" No it isn’t, Kim. Marrying someone of the same sex is in no way similar to a doctor pumping lethal drugs into a disabled person.

Knowing that the assisted dying bill failed is, for me, one of the most important outcomes yesterday. This was pushed by Labour MP Kim Leadbeater, and I believe it raised deeply serious concerns for our elderly, our vulnerable and those struggling with mental health. When you look at the history of the Fabian movement and its links to Labour thinking, there are long standing concerns around social engineering, state control and the value placed on people who are no longer seen as economically useful. That is why this bill worried me so much. Assisted dying risks becoming assisted eugenics if the wrong people are given the power to decide whose life is worth continuing. Pensioners, the mentally unwell and vulnerable are not a burden. They need care, support and protection, not a state backed route to death. Kim Leadbeater’s evil bill was dangerous, and I am glad it failed. The Labour Party should be ashamed.

The UK's euthanasia bill is DEAD! Today, the House of Lords runs out of time to debate the euthanasia bill because there were hundreds of questions remaining about how it would work The reality is: it is an unworkable, dangerous bill The UK is saved!

@alexmassie So, given that a large chunk of the UK population will be renting for most, if not all, of their lives. What is the solution to giving them any security. Genuine question.
