Goodbye, Twitter...
With a heavy heart, I sit here, typing out my 1,000th post on this platform.
X (formally known as Twitter) has been my Project Management and Business social media home for more than a decade, and it will be hard to step away from it.
But the truth is, I've noticed a shift. Tweets that would have once generated a flurry of interaction now simply don't do that.
And it's not just me - I can see other accounts experiencing the same thing.
Despite my best efforts, even trying the paid version of X, my engagement has dwindled.
So, I've decided to step back from this platform. I won't be gone completely, but I will be less present than before, more ad-hoc than pre-planned.
By reading this, I thank you for being a part of my Twitter family,
I've appreciated every like and read every comment (especially as now there are so few to get through).
If you've made it this far, I'd like to ask one last favour. Before I step back, would you mind giving this post a like or leaving a comment? It's not about upping my engagement but more of a 'last and final call' to prove or disprove my thinking.
With thanks
Alan
At the beginning of the year, Prof. @AdamBoddison OBE had the exciting news of being named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
Here’s some photos of Adam receiving his OBE from Princess Anne at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, 27 September. In case you had missed the published news article on why Adam was presented with this prestigious award, you can read more here:bit.ly/3tNVyfh
Congratulations again, to our CEO Professor Adam Boddison OBE.

Nursery run (walk) completed 🙌🏻
Use to walk down with Olive on my shoulders spotting buses 🚌 at my current pace we are spotting snails 🐌
Great to be able to contribute a little more and see my walking improve 👍🏻

Slow cooker meal for dinner tonight - sausage, potato and veg deliciously cooked over 8 hours.
Yummy! 😋
Well it would be if I remembered to turn the thing on, not just fill it up with food 🤪
@RAllen_Momentum When I broke my ankle, my Physio's studio was up one flight of stairs with no lift.
That was a 'mind over matter' exercise if ever I saw one.
Argh! Just put your foot down!
My brain is winning with this rehab. Allowed to put more weight on my foot and try to walk
Brain is shouting “noo - it will snap again!” Losing this battle 🤯
No idea how professional athletes keep coming back from injuries 🙌🏻

@AlanHarperPM Haha! Awesome comment and thanks for the positive wishes 👍🏻
Only recently added something about this injury - thought it was time for people to see my pasty leg 😂 keep well and thanks again.
@RAllen_Momentum I clearly missed the first instalment of this situation so sorry for not sending positive vibes before now.
I hop ( sorry hope 😜) you get back on your feet soon ( sorry, get better soon ) .
Take care.
Phew! Healed 🙌🏻
Bonus - my left leg can now fit in some skinny jeans! 🤣
Rehab time and fingers crossed for no challenges along the way.
Long way to go, but remaining positive.

Hopping and hoping that today goes well 🤕
11 weeks down - ruptured Achilles.
Not expecting to lose the boot, but some positive news on the healing would be welcomed 🤞🏼
