@kbo_coyote @pimomormon The way I see it, the bible is one family tree. There were other families whose verbal family history was not eventually written down and added to. If God/Yahweh is the supreme god above all other Gods, why did God need a name, and who named him/her/It/them.

No one in history has lived for "almost a thousand years." The Bible is loaded with contradictions. God marked Cain so that when he was exiled from Eden no one in the Land of Nod would bring harm to him. Why would there be people in the Land of Nod? If any of the children of Adam and Eve married, wouldn't it be incest? The Bible was conceived and recorded by humans. Best not to take it literally. There's a reason why it is called faith.
