World Indoors 2026: Chase Jackson finally wins the Indoor Shot Put gold medal! Chase Jackson had, one silver and two bronze medals from the World Indoor Champs in the past. At the US Indoor on March 1, Chase set a new AR of 20.44m, breaking her 20.24m AR that was set in Poland in 2025. In her fourth attempt, Chase Jackson, US, who was leading, blew the tighly contested W shot put with a 20.14m throw! Sarah Mitton, the two-time defending champion, finished in silver at 19.78m, and Axelina Johannsen, in a Swedish NR of 19.75, took the bronze, defeating WL, and European Indoor champ, Jessica Schilder! A great competition! Well done for Chase Jackson, who told the NBC interviewer that the gold in Poland may be her most treasured medal! World Indoors, M 400m heats heat 1: Matteus Lima, BRA in 46.09. Jereem the Dream Richards, one of my favorites, moves to the semi-finals in 46.10. Jereem looks dangerous. heat 2: Chris Robinson, a 400m hurdler, moves to semi with a 46.34 win. Reheem Hayles, JAM, 46.66, Heat 3: Omar Elkhatib, POR, 46.66, David Garcia, ESP, 46.91, Heat 4: Tomas Horak, CZE, 45.89, Attila Molnar, HUN, 45.93, Attila is the new European indoor record holder at 45.01. Heat 5: Probably the most impressive run so far, Christopher Morales Williams, CAN, 45.51. Obvious Williams could go 45 poin in his sleep. Brian Tenega, KEN, NR record holder, 46.21, looked, as the late Mike Fanelli would say, "solid." heat 6: The most impressive. Khaleb McRae, WR holder, could have had a subway sandiwch, an iced tea and played backgammon with his 46.09. Khaleb was cruising. Elian Larregina, ARG ran 46.61. World Indoor Champs, M 800, Yep, Cooper Lutkenhaus moves to the semi! Running a cautious and smart race, Cooper Lutkenhaus followed the leader, Bloudek, in 25.54, 52.69, 1:20.37 and in final lap, put a burst in and watched his back over the last 50 meters, with Peter Bloudek, CRO, 1:46.20, Lutkenhaus, 1:46.24! Cooper told RBR that he wanted to learn something from each race!
