Homes in the U.S. are getting more and more expensive. Statistics by the Federal Finance Agency show that since first reaching a new high in February of 2022, prices  have continued to climb upwards. Reasons behind this price-hike include the Fed's measures to rein in inflation caused by responses to the war in Ukraine. Also, mortgage rates that are much higher than what they used to be have further contributed to the upward trajectory of prices. Take a look at the chart for more.

Have you been eating more noodles lately ? Well, people are twirling and gulping much more than they used to. Why? Well inflation drove up food prices and there's nothing cheaper and tastier than a quick pot of instant noodles. According to the World Instant Noodles Association global demand has jumped 2.6% globally reaching a record of 121.2 billion servings last year. It's most popular in China and other Asian countries but demand has spiked in North America particularly in the U.S. and Mexico. The noodle mania is so real that two major Japanese noodle companies are planning to set up factories in the US by 2025.

The United States and Israel have reached a landmark agreement aiming to enhance bilateral travel. Effective from November 30, Israeli nationals can undertake trips to the U.S. for up to 90 days without a visa, benefiting tourists and business professionals. In turn Israel has committed to amending its stringent entry policies, allowing more equitable access to U.S. citizens, irrespective of their national origin, religion, or ethnicity. In addition, Palestinian Americans with residency status in occupied territories can now access Israel's international airport. This deal has been negotiated over the past year and a half, addressing long-standing security concerns and striving for balanced diplomatic relations. While Israel has initiated amendments to its policies, allowing more diverse American demographics to enter, some opposition persists, citing residual inequalities, particularly against Palestinian Americans. U.S. officials are monitoring the compliance and enforcement of agreed terms, emphasizing that non-adherence could lead to suspension from the visa-waiver program. The accord represents a significant stride in U.S.-Israel relations, with ongoing efforts to ensure sustained equality and adherence to mutual commitments.

In a historic lawsuit, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and 17 state attorneys general are suing Amazon, accusing the company of illegally maintaining a monopoly, inflating prices, and stifling competition.
