Actually, he's telling the truth. There are so many clues most anime fans would bypass without reading the manga. It tells you how great the plot is. Had to pause and play several times on my 3rd watch.

I’m rewatching Attack on Titan for the 10th time and I’m still catching hidden clues, foreshadowing, and plot details I missed before. This isn’t just one of the greatest anime ever made, it’s one of the greatest pieces of storytelling in entertainment history. I envy people watching it for the first time. The chances of witnessing a story this perfectly planned and executed again feel incredibly rare.

That’s actually one of the more fascinating implications of The Legend of Korra.
According to the lore, Vaatu will eventually begin to regrow within Raava, just as Raava once regrew within Vaatu. But that doesn’t mean the Avatar is destined to become evil.
The key point is that Raava and Vaatu represent balance, not a simple good-versus-evil system. Light contains a seed of darkness, and darkness contains a seed of light.
So in 10,000 years:
Vaatu may re-emerge within Raava.
Another Harmonic Convergence may occur.
The cycle of balance will continue.
What it doesn’t mean is that the Avatar will suddenly become a dark Avatar. Wan and Korra’s fusion with Raava doesn’t erase Vaatu forever, it merely keeps him in balance.
Still, your point highlights a scary possibility: every future Avatar is technically carrying the seed of Vaatu within them. The world’s greatest protector will always contain a tiny piece of the force they’re meant to oppose. 🌗🔥🌊🪨💨
And honestly, that’s probably exactly how the Avatar universe thinks balance should work.

In the second season of 'The Legend of Korra', we learn that if Raava or Vaatu are destroyed, the one who is destroyed will grow and eventually emerge from the one who survives in about 10,000 years. Now that Vaatu has been destroyed and Raava has merged with Avatar again, that means Vaatu, the spirit of darkness and chaos, will slowly grow within the Avatar. In about 10,000 years, the world's greatest savior and protector could succumb to darkness and become the world's biggest threat.
