Stoicism is a great self-help tool for extremely neurotic people. It can help you get “back to baseline.” Marcus Aurelius was extremely neurotic. He never wanted to be emperor. Marcus became addicted to opium (an ingredient of the medicine called theriac that Galen gave him) to cope with the anxiety of being emperor. But it cannot provide meaning in your life. You don’t believe the woo-woo pseudo-religious philosophical “nature is logos” parts of it anyway. You just want the self-help bits. Which is fine. But once you’ve cured your anxiety, there’s still further to ascend.

This is fair. So here is my argument. Accelerationists promise you that through Accelerationism you WILL have a time of massive hardship due to collapse. They then criticize those who want reforms in established political parties who have constructed infrastructure due to that also causing a time of hardship through incremental change (Why get only some things we want) I would simply argue that to get some of what we want is the superior position due to stability and collapse doesn't guarantee us right wing populism but usually ends up being left wing socialism. If the right wing collapses the left will still hold institutional power which will actually take longer to root out than reforms would take.

@TjJinson @GuntherEagleman I hate to tear things down without building something up and I have no idea how I would build up an airline but I'm not sure I could name an airline that's not at least a third of the way or halfway bought into the progressive movement. Some are full progressive

Clearly something like frontier provides a good service but they're bad company or maybe they're ran by bad people or their strings are pulled by bad people I don't know. We have to replace it with something better.
