District Expos are officially underway across South Africa, marking the start of the Eskom Expo journey for thousands of young scientists. Kicking things off, Eskom Expo Kimberley hosted its first District Expo at Douglas SEDC in the Northern Cape, where 69 learners from six schools showcased their research projects. Eskom Expo for Young Scientists District Expos are compulsory, localised science competitions for learners in Grades 4 to 12, as well as TVET colleges. These expos provide participants with the opportunity to present their research, receive expert feedback, and refine their projects. This important stage serves as a stepping stone to Regional Science Fairs and ultimately the Eskom Expo International Science Fair, where top young scientists compete on a national platform.
