In my mind, Lidia is basically Makoto turned up to 11 gameplay wise and it feels so weird that it’s hard to find makoto heads and Lidia heads talking about the connection. There should be some karate rushdown kinship there.

We’ll see about when VF6 comes out though. That parry into double palm strike sequence in the preview sold me immediately.

Quite unfortunate since Lidia is an all-time favourite character that got me that extra 400 hours or so. Really hard to pick between her and Makoto now.
