If he's making any progress today, it's because he's been doing more back testing & making adjustments, don't kid urself. . . There are exceptions to every rule but for the most part you will never find that edge that lasts forever. The real long term edge in SC is within yourself, the ability to adapt to market conditions/cycles & if you possess that edge/ability, you have a chance at not becoming extinct like a Backtestasaurus Rex. Data bros are either turning to hybrid systems or revamping, that's trader maturity.

Success comes to traders who understand that others are already working harder than them so you must push to become the best version of your self that you can be Losers make excuses & seek validation. Winners make it happen no matter what the circumstances & never give up.

Until you experienced a business cycle or two, you have lots to learn.

You find consistency for the 1st time & then face an alarming drawdown period. You're about to learn a new lesson in trading. You may have to pivot & make changes to align with the market. Being stubborn is not necessarily going to help. Find the solution, not excuses.
