Let me get this straight: In Hungary, a "dictator" just lost democratic elections held without violations. This "dictator" immediately and placidly conceded defeat. Meanwhile in Ukraine, a "democratic" leader, who has imprisoned the opposition, continues to be president without elections.
Guess which one the European Union supports?

I lived in Hungary for several years under the Orbán dictatorship.
The funny thing was, people could and did say whatever came into their heads, protests were held in front of the parliament, there was a gay cruise bar down the road and Orbán held elections.
And yet, the country was a dictatorship.
Whereas in the UK, people tend to be distinctly guarded and if they do say the wrong thing very publicly, they get locked up.
And yet, it's a free country.
Once you understand that words can mean whatever we want them to mean, it begins to make sense.

Did you know that inflation has spiked in Venezuela since Maduro left office??
Did you also know that the money made from Venezuelan oil sales is sent into an account controlled by the US and also used in settling debts??
If the Venezuelans are experiencing harsher reality now compared to when Maduro was in power, then what are the benefits of the US intervention in the country??
The US ain't in Venezuela to help the people but to take as much as possible while they can. Remember Trump's statements like "we'll make a lot of money from their oil" and "we'll take their oil".
Venezuelans will understand why it's terrible to betray your leader for the United States to take over. A terrible idea. They'll learn the hard way.

English

@eduardomenoni You do understand that the US already sells as much oil as it can produce and empty tankers make zero difference to the situation other than to drive the price up of gasoline and diesel in the US?
English

@Bulldoggslife @osintPk But they do have long range hypersonic anti-ship missiles.
English

@osintPk China has insufficient deployed naval experience, infrastructure, logistics nor deployed land based air power to remotely challenge the US in the Persian Gulf. Keep wishing on a red star.
English

China is aggressively challenging the American naval blockade.
The People's Liberation Army Navy just deployed a heavily armed task force to the Gulf of Oman.
Beijing explicitly stated they will not allow Washington to dictate their global energy security.
Chinese destroyers are preparing to actively escort their own mega-tankers right to the edge of the US kill box.
A massive, direct standoff between American and Chinese naval assets is developing just outside the Strait.
English

@mrscottiem @osintPk Oh that would explain why the carrier strike groups had to hide 1000km away from the Strait.
English

@LeeroyJb1a @osintPk China has hypersonic anti-ship missiles for which there is no defence and will cut through a US ship instantly. The US is decades behind in both missiles and missile defence.
English

@EricLDaugh I imagine Americans must be the most gullible nation on Earth.

You'd think Israel would consider itself to have enough enemies for the time being.

The US president is praising Allah and Iran is defending the Pope, welcome to 2026
Masoud Pezeshkian@drpezeshkian
His Holiness Pope Leo XIV (@Pontifex), I condemn the insult to Your Excellency on behalf of the great nation of Iran, and declare that the desecration of Jesus, the prophet of peace and brotherhood, is not acceptable to any free person. I wish you glory by Allah.
English

@JackPosobiec Yes, the US is the world's most brutal military empire and its claws are round the throat of global energy supplies.

@LeberPuhl @WallStreetMav I guess that's for them to decide.
English

@SpecificIntelQ @WallStreetMav So should all countries pay a toll to UAE, Oman, and Hormuz? A third each? Or should UAE get more ?
English

The Strait of Singapore is even more critical than the Strait of Hormuz.
1/3 of all global trade has to go through the narrowest point (2 nautical miles) of the Strait of Singapore.
Singapore's Foreign Minister makes a good point that they cannot allow Iran to charge tolls when other critical chokepoints of global trade allow free passage.
Eric 𝕏@WorldStrategist
Singapore’s Foreign Minister on why he cannot accept negotiating with Iran for safe passage of ships. Definitely worth listening to:

@davidwcpf @c20let95 @HarmlessHQ Who says they're using dollars? They've been using Yuan and bitcoin. The question is how much damage can the US economy take (and yes rising oil prices will wreck the US economy which is completely dependent on diesel) vs how much can Iran take.
English

@SpecificIntelQ @c20let95 @HarmlessHQ It’s a finite amount. And Iran selling oil at market value using petrodollars is a goal. Depriving China and Russia of cheap, black market oil.
English

Iran never expected this move from Trump.
They actually had three expectations from Trump.
1. Agree to some of Iran's deals and beg them to open the Strait of Hormuz.
2. Wait till the ceasefire elapses and continue striking.
3. Cede control of the Strait to Iran.
And Trump threw them totally off balance by resolving to join them in the blockade.
Their PhD holders didn't predict this also. 😂
English

@LeberPuhl @WallStreetMav That's exactly what happened since the US has been boarding ships all over the world, kidnapping leaders, invading countries and doing their own blockades like Cuba. So now there is no diplomacy and there is no international law.
English

@SpecificIntelQ @WallStreetMav So UAE should also mine the Iranian side of Hormuz and charge tolls, since Iran attacked the UAE? Back to Barbary Coast piracy ?
