At a time when many Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains are struggling to maintain their TVL in 2026, Stellar is moving in the opposite direction, showing steady growth into Q2. So what’s driving this momentum? 🤔 🌍 Real-World Assets Powering Growth The main driver behind this surge is the rise of real-world assets (RWAs). Over the past 18 months, Stellar has positioned itself as a settlement layer for tokenized financial instruments such as treasury bills, real estate, and other off-chain assets. It’s important to distinguish between two metrics: DeFi TVL ($204M), which reflects native on-chain activity Total tokenized asset value (~$1.64B), representing broader network activity While these figures measure different things, RWAs are the key engine fueling DeFi liquidity and composability. 💡 🏦 Key Institutional Players Three major issuers dominate Stellar’s RWA ecosystem: Spiko: $531.92M in tokenized treasury products Ondo Finance: $123.12M in yield-bearing assets WisdomTree: $24.01M in tokenized funds According to recent data, Stellar’s RWA market cap (excluding stablecoins) reached $1.52 billion by the end of Q1 2026 and surpassed $2 billion on April 11. 📈 🔗 Native DeFi Ecosystem Gaining Traction Stellar’s DeFi ecosystem is rapidly catching up with institutional growth. 💰 Lending Leads the Way Blend, Stellar’s primary lending protocol, has reached $110.25 million in TVL, growing 25.9% quarter-over-quarter. Courts Uphold the Fraud When homeowners default, administrative courts side with the banks, denying constitutional protections and ignoring lawful due process. 9.
