The world has witnessed the government of Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in occupied Gaza. Month after month, the government of Israel has treated Palestinians in Gaza as a subhuman group unworthy of human rights and dignity, demonstrating its specific intent to physically destroy them. Israel's government and state officials responsible for the crime of genocide must be held accountable. We are calling on all States to use every legal avenue to bring suspected perpetrators to justice. No one should be allowed to commit genocide and remain unpunished. amnestyusa.org/gaza-genocide

David Lammy attended a Labour Friends of Israel event yesterday and posed for pictures with the Israeli ambassador in London, Tzipi Hotovely. Hotovely has suggested that “every school, every mosque, every second house" in Gaza is a legitimate target for Israel.

I once believed that the Israeli government's slaughter of civilians was indiscriminate. I was completely wrong. It is deliberate, massive and plainly genocidal.

Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur oPt
BREAKING. Today the pro-genocide protest at Queen Mary University (led by one of the most reactionary admin I have ever seen in the UK higher education system) was cancelled after earlier protests staged in front of the #LSE and @SOAS - consisting of a dozen flags/ more flags than feet anyway - were clamourously outnumbered by peaceful antigenocidal young protesters. This forced the progenocide minions to evaporate. And everyone enjoyed the pro-genocide free space.

The Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) cancelled a protest outside Queen Mary University of London due to threats of violence resembling recent attacks in Amsterdam. The protest was against Francesca Albanese, a UN official who has made controversial remarks perceived as supporting Hamas and has been accused of anti-Semitic rhetoric. Online discussions among Tower Hamlets residents included threats referencing “Amsterdam-style” violence, alluding to recent assaults on Israeli football fans in Amsterdam by pro-Palestinian groups. The CAA stated that the risk of violence prevented them from holding the protest, and they expressed concerns about the increase in anti-Semitic incidents in the UK. The Metropolitan Police assured safety measures were in place and condemned the threats, launching an investigation to identify those responsible. telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/11/1… Francesca Albanese
