Freedom isn't perfect, just better than the alternatives. Strong views, but open to be proven wrong. Doing research for a book project, no copyright intended 👍

1. I've decided to Change the way I use twitter. My main goal will be to post content related to whatever I've been reading or researching (longer threads I do will be linked below). It's all to live up to my own advice for liberty-minded people: stateexempt.com/wordpress/2019…

The many ways government has disproportionately harmed various groups throughout history is something I wish Libertarians would emphasize more. 🤔

Government policies that contribute to Black/White wealth gap: -Zoning restrictions -Social Security (you have to live long enough to even take from it) -Victimless crime laws -Regulatory barriers to entry for new businesses And several more things I need to write about...

My conversation with @TR401 is now on YouTube. We discuss the importance of financial education, how Bitcoin was built for the inner city communities, what financial advisors are missing right now, and what you can do listening from home. Enjoy! youtu.be/drUnG1QBvxw

it’s always people without a culture that try to say cultural appropriation isn’t an issue

Slate Star Codex is one of the most thoughtful places on the Internet. Linked to by over 3 million sites, an untold number of fans, and all for free by an anonymous author. And a journalist wants to expose it for no particular reason; nothing more than a few clicks.

This is incredibly, incredibly sad. A writer at the New York Times is apparently going to reveal the identity of the author of Slate Star Codex, so he is shutting the blog down. slatestarcodex.com/2020/06/22/nyt…

Story number one has no mention of story number two published in the same newspaper just a few months ago. (Yep, Washington Post was publishing articles calling masks "superstition" akin to tossing salt over one's shoulder. No retraction, apology or update).

I was on an H1B visa for 10 yrs. Started a company with co-founders also on H1Bs. Hired American employees, served US customers. This was our American dream. But today the same company could be started anywhere. Why would the next generation bother if they can’t get a visa?

@MattOsterndorf There's a view on the right that US computer scientists are being constantly outsourced and put upon which i think is in stark contrast with hiring data and extremely high demand for these skills that outpaces domestic supply
