@greedofdeath @fireshoes @fanfinity_mtg man rough beets today, but getting to 8-0 day 1 is still really impressive. Just take your learnings from this one and improve.

@StrictProctor @fireshoes @fanfinity_mtg 8/0 into 8/6 🥲 I would be laughing if it wasn't that tilting😅 After dodging control whole day 1 I played Vs 4c first round followed by 3 times jeskai lesson (which feels even worse than the control matchup)

@CavernOnHumans I can see flashfreeze in the side. my first thought is -1 spell pierce, +1 flashfreeze, does well into control, if prowess turns into a control deck post sideboard it can be good there, and the emerging monoG landfall its great there

@M23Mathieu @fireshoes I think so because having a drum on turn 1 can allow you to do so much with the deck, such as starfield for pixie and bounce back, or scamming riddler on turn 2. These aspects are what make the deck strong and I personally don't like cutting 4/8 ways to be able to cheat mana.

@StrictProctor @fireshoes Is keeping Springleaf Drum worth it in the matchups where you bring in Clarion Conqueror?

@greedofdeath @fireshoes I think you need haliya for the prowess matchup and against control/spellmentals it can help grind more and buffer your life total

@StrictProctor @fireshoes How much did you like haliya in the deck? I was thinking to maindeck spider sense to slightly improve the ctrl matchup

@xluiscarlosx @fireshoes @GatewatchReject Gran-gran in a control meta I think is one of the best to grab because you can start filtering your draws with drum. Mockingbird can be good but I don’t think there are great creatures to copy right now

@xluiscarlosx @fireshoes @GatewatchReject Elspeth was fine overall. Only saw her in 2 games and she performed well in one and the other game was already over because I scammed riddler and turn 3 and 4 and played her on 5 against lessons.

8-1 after day 1. Deck preformed insane and I had good matchups. Can’t wait to rizz my way tomorrow
